The brother of the absolute world champion sensationally won the WBA title

On Monday, November 24, a fight for the vacant WBC world champion title in the weight category up to 53.5 kg took place at the Toyota Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

The undefeated Japanese talent met in the ring Tenshin Nasukawa (7–0, 2 KOs) and his compatriot, former WBA title holder Takuma Inoue (20–2, 5 KOs), who is the younger brother of reigning champion Naoya Inoue.

Nasukawa, as the favorite, took control in the center of the ring – he moved excellently on his feet, was faster and more accurate in almost every episode. Inoue tried to counter his opponent, but was inferior in maneuverability.

Takuma tried to even out the course of the fight, added aggression, began to work more often as the number one. Tenshin decided to make a final bet on counterattacks, but due to passivity, he gave his opponent round after round.

Inoue Jr. decided to increase the pace of the fight, regularly harassing the opponent with uppercuts. After eight rounds, it turned out that Takuma was winning on the notes of two judges.

Nasukawa understood that he needed to take risks and add to the work of the first number, but his actions were too easily read by the opponent. Inoue calmly and coolly led the fight to an unexpected, but fairly confident victory and won the title of world champion.
