On Saturday, January 10, an evening of boxing took place at the “Rudolf Weber-Arena” in Oberhausen, Germany, the main event of which was the fight for the title of interim world champion.

Representatives of super heavyweight (over 90.7 kg) met in the ring – the owner of the WBC Interim belt Agit Kabael (26–0, 18 KOs) from Germany and Polish contender Damian Knyba (17–0, 11 KOs).

The boxers actively started the fight – from the first round it was clear that Knyba could create problems for a more famous opponent, who even had a dissection above his right eye. However, already from the second round, the German began to actively work on the corps and took the fight under his control. In the third round, Kabayel hit Knybi in the head several times and began to finish off – the referee intervened and stopped the fight.

Kabayel remained the holder of the title of interim world champion according to the WBC version and one of the contenders for a fight with Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk, who holds the full title of the World Boxing Council.
