On the way to the semifinals, Jassan overcame three opponents: German Ambmaabar, Irishman Brian Li Kennedy and former Russian, and now Georgian boxer George Kushitashvili.
In the semifinals, Danilo met with the owner of the ring, British Tigan Stott, and gave way to judges (1: 4). Thus, Jassan rose to the third stage of the pedestal of honor and won his first award of the world championship.
The national team of Ukraine at the championship was represented by the maximum composition – 20 boxers, but only Danilo Jasan reached the semifinals stage.
