Joseph Parker’s promoter David Higgins believes that Oleksandr Usyk should fight the New Zealander to add to his opponent’s resume.
“If Usyk does not fight with Parker, then it will not be possible to say that he fought with all the best boxers of his era. Usyk needs this fight for his resume, and I’m sure that Oleksandr wants to beat all the best opponents.”
“Without such an attitude, Usyk would not have achieved what he has achieved. Usyk is an incredible champion, and I hope he’s a fair person and agrees that Parker deserves to fight him,” said Higgins.
To fight Usyk, Parker first needs to defeat Fabio Wardley on October 25.
