“The WBA title holder Kubrat Pulev is forced to enter the ring against the undefeated Briton”, — write: sport.ua
The World Boxing Association (WBA) previously announced Itauma’s fight against title holder Kubrat Pulev (23-3, 14 KOs) scheduled for December 13 in Manchester.
The representative of Bulgaria refused to fight Moses and signed a contract for a fight with Russian Murat Gassiev, which will not take place due to the decision of the WBA. The representatives of the organization threatened Pulev that they would take away the championship title from him if he refused to fight with the British.
For this reason, the Bulgarian champion is forced to return to the option with Itauma and forget about the fight with Gassiev. The world heavyweight title fight is expected to take place on February 7.
If Pulev changes his mind before that date, he will be without the belt, which Moses will play against another opponent.
Momentum stall: Moses Itauma’s next fight likely postponed to Feb 7, 2026, after WBA confusion over Kubrat Pulev’s voluntary defense. #MosesItauma #Heavyweight #WBA #Boxing pic.twitter.com/JYPAdtalGY
