Former absolute world champion Oleksandr Usyk remembered the conversation with Vitaliy Klitschko at the beginning of the war.

“Vitaliy Klitschko told me when the war started: “Hey, brother, go to training. You must box and you must win, because the Ukrainian people need emotions.”

At first I said “No”, wanting to take up arms for Ukraine. But Klitschko persuaded me,” Usyk recalled.

Previously, the WBC, WBA and IBF heavyweight title holder (over 90.7 kg) Oleksandr Usyk (24–0, 15 KOs) talked about his plans and admitted when he intends to end his professional career. The boxer recently made the WBO title vacant and lost the status of absolute world champion.
