OFFICIALLY. May 10 will determine the future opponent for Lomachenko

On May 10 at the PECHANGA ARENA arena in San Diego (USA) will take place yesterday of boxing, organized by the promotional company Top Rank Bob Arum.

The main event will be the second half -weight battle (up to 59 kg) – the WBO World Champion Emanuel Navarrete (39–2–1, 32 KO, Mexico) will conduct mandatory protection of the title against the Philippine Charlie Suarez (18–0, 10 KO).

In the second most important event will determine the opponent for the Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenkowhich has an IBF belt in lightweight (up to 61.2 kg). In the ring, Russian Zur Abdullaev (20-11, 12 KO) and American Raymond Muratalia (22-0, 17 KO) will come together.

The winner of this confrontation will receive the title of temporary champion and the status of a compulsory contender on the line of the International Boxing Federation. Lomachenko received a deferral because of health problems, he should enter the ring by October 8, 2025. If the Ukrainian boxer is not able to do so, then the winner of the Muratalia battle – Abdullaev will become a full -fledged world champion.
