The promoters of the British boxer Daniel Dubois reported that the heavyweight refused the fight against Franko Sanchez for the status of the mandatory contender for the IBF title, which is held by Oleksandr Usyk.

If DuBois wins, he would have a chance to fight the Ukrainian for the third time, but the promoters said that the fight with Sanchez “limits Daniel’s chances for titles in other organizations.”

So far, there is no information on who will fight with Sanchez for the status of a mandatory contender. Veteran Derek Chisora ​​has been named as the first option.

It is worth noting that the IBF is currently the last in line for a fight with Usyk. The first was the WBO, but Alexander made the title vacant. Next come the WBC and WBA.

Usyk has yet to reveal his plans, but his refusal to fight Fabio Wardley makes it clear that it is possible that the Ukrainian will continue to refuse to defend his titles and continue to lose belts.
