WBC, WBO and WBA heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk (23–0, 14 KO) appealed to his compatriots in his social networks.
Boxer congratulated Ukrainians on Christmas: “Merry Christmas. Christ was born, we praise him,” wrote Usyk.
In the last match, the Ukrainian champion defeated the British contender Tyson Fury (34–2–1, 24 KOs). On the night of December 22 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Usyk won by a unanimous decision of the judges (three times 116:112).
