Mairis BRIEDIS: “Usyk knew where he was going. This indicates…”

The former world champion – about the transition of the Ukrainian to super heavyweight”, — write: sport.ua

Former world champion in cruiserweight Mairis Briedis shared his opinion about the transition of Oleksandr Usyk to super heavyweight:

“During the performances in the World Series of Boxing, Oleksandr already boxed in super heavyweight and he beat everyone there. That is, he knew where he was going and how to prepare. It shows that huge boxers can be defeated with speed, strategy and hard work.

Can be compared with basketball players. A 2.15 athlete doesn’t have to put in much effort to jump high and dunk, but a 1.80 person has to try really hard to do the same,” Briedis said.

Usyk made his super heavyweight debut on October 12, 2019 when he defeated American Chazz Witherspoon (RTD 7).

Earlier it was reported that Usyk’s former rival is going to end his professional career.
