Track in sports Oleg Pishnyi was born on October 12, 1981 in Svitlovodsk, Kropyvnych region, in his native town he studied at general education school of the I-III degrees No. 1, and then at specialized school No. 3. From a young age, the boy began boxing, which eventually became his life’s work. Having ended his career as an athlete early, Oleg became a coach of the Svitlovodsk Complex Children’s and Youth Sports School No. 1, and also headed the Svitlovodsk City Boxing Federation. Pupils and colleagues say that Pyshnyi never refused help, always contributed to the popularization of boxing and helped with the purchase of the necessary equipment.
A little later, Oleg moved to Uzhgorod, where he lived until the beginning of the Great War.

Combat experience and death In the first days of the full-scale invasion, on March 1, 2022, Oleg joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a scout-machine gunner of the 2nd reconnaissance platoon of the mechanized battalion of the 105th separate territorial defense brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces in the Ternopil region. In the army, Pishnyi had the callsign Trainer, was a junior sergeant.
On October 24, 2022, while performing a combat mission, Oleg Pishny died after receiving serious injuries.
The soldier is survived by his wife and son.

Tribute Oleg Pyshny was buried on October 27, 2022 in Uzhhorod on the Hill of Glory of the Calvary cemetery. And first, a farewell ceremony and military salute for the fallen hero was held on the Nezalezhnosti Embankment, after which the funeral procession passed through the city center.
On August 31, 2023, by the decision of the extraordinary session of the Uzhgorod City Council, Oleg Pyshny was awarded the title “Honorary Citizen of the City of Uzhgorod” (posthumously).
At the beginning of November 2023, a charity boxing tournament was held in his honor in Svitlovodsk, Oleg Pyshny’s hometown.
