Former world champion Paul Malignaggi gave advice to the Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk about his future.
“Now there is a lot of talk about Usyk’s rematch with Daniel Dubois. Better let Oleksandr retire. He is now at the top, what does he still have to prove? Usyk would win the rematch against Dubois even more convincingly. The only way Dubois can beat Usyk is if Alexander ages overnight,” Malignaggi said.
If DuBois defeats Joseph Parker on February 22, 2025 and defends the title, then the fight with Usyk will be for the title of absolute world champion.
In 2023, Dubois lost by knockout to Usyk in the 9th round. In the 5th round, Dubois openly punched below the belt, and Usyk came to his senses for a long time.
