“Let Berinchyk’s belt be taken away.” The Olympic champion is about the fight of a Ukrainian

On the night of February 15, New York (USA) will host a lightweight title fight (up to 61.2 kg) – the WBO title holder will meet in the ring Denys Berinchyk (19–0, 9 KOs) and an American contender Keyshawn Davis (12–0.8 TO).

The 2020 Olympic champion Andy Cruz from Cuba admitted that he will root for Davis in this fight and hopes that the Ukrainian will remain without the title. The fact is that the Cuban had four fights with Davis in the amateurs and won all of them:

“I am sure that Keishon has become much better recently and will be able to take the belt from Berinchyk. Of course I’m going to watch this fight. I need Davis to beat the Ukrainian, and then we’ll meet him, he’ll lose for the fifth time and I’ll become the champion,” Cruz said.

In order for this scenario to become a reality, Andy must first successfully complete his next fight – on January 25, he will meet with Mexican Omar Salcido (20-1, 14 KOs). This fight will take place in Las Vegas (USA).
