It’s official: The undefeated Davis will fight the WBA titleholder

One of the best boxers in the world – WBA lightweight champion (up to 61.2 kg) Gervonta Davis (30–0, 28 KOs) will fight on March 1, 2025. The opponent will be his compatriot – the owner of the WBA belt in the second featherweight (up to 59 kg) Lamont Roach (25–1–1, 10 KOs).

The fight will be the main event of the Premier Boxing Champions show, which will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn (New York, USA).

The Davis-Roach fight was originally scheduled for December 14, 2024, but was postponed due to organizational issues. The boxers’ press conference will be held on December 3.

Jervonta Davis had one fight this year – on June 15, he knocked out compatriot Frank Martin in the eighth round. Lamont Roach also fought once in 2024 – in June he defeated the Irishman Fergal McCrory (TKO 8).
