– I saw how Fury hinted that he would fit the rematch with Usyk at 122.5 kg – the same weight as in the second fight with Wilder. Do you think it should be like that? Will he be more aggressive, will he win the rematch?

– This is exactly what I said before the first fight. I expect Tyson to use his size, be more aggressive. And Tyson is really a very good bodypuncher. I wouldn’t say that Usyk is vulnerable to body shots, but he can be caught and shaken by a blow to the bottom floor. I never understood why try to outbox such a technically efficient boxer as Usyk. And Tyson really had success at the beginning of the fight. But Usyk has always been one of those fighters for whom the longer the fight, the more they process you. His brain is like an advanced computer. If I was in Tyson’s corner, I would tell him, “Take it easy, don’t try to match his skill level! Get him into a rougher fight, a fight, make the fight more physical, work downstairs!” I believe this is the way for Tyson.

– If he does this, what will be the result of the rematch?

– Listen, he can win a fight. It won’t be easy. You will not beat Usyk easily, it will always be hard work. And he’s going to have to go through some of the tough times he went through in the first fight. But I believe that such a tactic will benefit him. Usyk is always better as the match progresses. No fighter has yet made a fight with Usyk physically difficult. No one knows what Usyk will be like going into the 7-8-9 rounds if he is physically exhausted by a big 122 kg super heavyweight who will hold him down, hang over him, rough him up and kind of knock him out of rhythm, and the usual work How will he perform when his muscles are physically exhausted? Here is the way to win. I believe that it is necessary to make him so that he is not able to perform in his rhythm in the second half of the fight.

On the night of May 19, Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) won the title of absolute world champion in the heavyweight division in a fight against the British Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs). Usyk defeated Fury by split decision: Usyk 115-112, Fury 114-113, Usyk 114-113. The rematch will take place on December 21.
