Gvozdyk will fight in a new organization created by Turki Al-Sheikh

Former world champion in light heavyweight (up to 79.4 kg) Oleksandr Gvozdyk (21–2, 17 KOs) is highly likely to hold his next fight under the auspices of the new organization Zuffa Boxing.

Zuffa Boxing is a professional boxing promotion company founded by Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) CEO Dana White and Chairman of General Entertainment Authority (GEA) Turki Al-Sheikh.

It is a closed organization that will have one champion in each weight class and its own roster of boxers. White and Al-Sheikh have repeatedly expressed their dissatisfaction with the presence of a large number of champions in each division (WBA, WBO, WBC, IBF).

Gvozdyk’s opponent will be multiple world title contender Radivoje Kalajdzic (29–3, 21 KOs), who represents the United States but is a native of Serbia.

The event will take place on February 1 at the “Meta Apex” arena in Las Vegas (USA). The authoritative insider and columnist Dan Raphael reported on the match.
