Grand Prix in Saudi Arabia. Ukrainian boxers will fight for the cup

World Boxing Council (WBC) officially announced the Grand Prix in four weight categories. The tournament will be held in Saudi Arabia in a semi -light, first semi -middle, difficult and hard -weighted division.

32 athletes in each weight category will take part in the tournament, the winner will receive the Jose Suleiman Cup. The first matches will take place in April 2025.

Two boxers will be represented on this Grand Prix- Alexander Solomennikov (16–0, 8 KO, semi -light weight) and Danilo Lozan (12-0, 8 KO, the first half -weight). The opponents and schedule of fights will be announced later when a list of all participants is formed.

Solomennikov last released in the ring in November last year, when he defeated the representative of Venezuela Michael Beamont by a unanimous judicial decision. In December 2024, Lozan knocked out in Kiev in the fourth round of Argentine, Ranan Nahuel Sanchez.
