“Glorious Ukrainian Cossack”. UAF turned to Usyk before the fight with Fury

The Ukrainian Football Association published a video appeal to the Ukrainian heavyweight boxer Oleksandr Usyk on the eve of the rematch against the British Tyson Fury.

First, the head coach of the national team of Ukraine took the floor Sergey Rebrov and some team players:

“Sasha, hello. You have a message from the team. You hit accurately, you block confidently, you counterattack quickly, you give your best, you finish accurately, you don’t back down, you impress with your resilience. We are with you.”

Later, the president of UAF gave a speech Andriy Shevchenko:

“Sanya, you are a glorious Ukrainian Cossack. Your strength, endurance and spirit inspire millions. You have already proven that you can achieve the impossible, and I am sure you will do it again. All of Ukraine is rooting for you. To the victory, my friend!”

On the night of May 19, Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) won the title of absolute world champion in the heavyweight division in a fight against the British Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs). Usyk defeated Fury by split decision: Usyk 115-112, Fury 114-113, Usyk 114-113. The rematch will take place on December 21.
