Tyson Fury commented on his words after the fight with Usyk, where he said that the judges gave the victory in the fight for the absolute to Oleksandr Usyk because of the war in Ukraine.

“Do I regret telling Usyk that he won because of the war? No, I don’t regret anything. Why should I regret this? It was a close fight. I congratulated Usyk after the announcement of the result. But I believe I beat him,” said Fury.

On the night of May 19, Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) won the title of absolute world champion in the heavyweight division in a fight against the British Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs). Usyk defeated Fury by split decision: Usyk 115-112, Fury 114-113, Usyk 114-113.
