Former world champion Carl Froch shared his impressions of the victory of the British heavyweight Anthony Joshua (29-4, 26 KOs) over the American blogger Jake Paul (12-2, 7 KO):
“Joshua got the job done in 6 rounds. Paul did not pass out. He was hit on the chin, he fell, did not get up until the end of the countdown. To be honest, the fight was terrible, just shit. Really bad fight for AJ. AJ followed Jake around the ring, throwing jabs and punches to Paul’s shoulder, driving him into the corner. He didn’t particularly hit with his right.
He didn’t seem motivated to just go out there and take out Jake Paul in a round or two, which I think he could have done. He was out of the ring for 15 months, a little slow. Maybe he’s a little rusty outside the ring.”
