Former lightweight world champion (up to 61.2 kg) Denis Berinchik (19–1, 9 KO) will return to the ring after defeat in the title match.

On the night of February 14 to 15, the representative of Ukraine was knocked out by American Keishon Davis in American New York and lost his WBO belt. After that, Denis underwent surgery and now intends to carry out another battle.

On social networks, a joint statement of Berinchik and President of the All-Ukrainian K-1 Akhmada Akhmadov Federation was published on the World Professional K-1 page, who announced the next Ukrainian K-1’s fight.

The name of the opponent, the date and place of the match are not reported.

“The landmark moment for Ukrainian martial arts: one of the most famous boxers of the country, the Olympic medalist and the star of professional boxing Denis Berinchyk enters the ring according to the rules of K-1!

It’s not just a battle – it’s a new challenge, because now Dennis is waiting for his feet, knees and even more spectacular struggle, ”the organization said.

K1 is a type of kickboxing that combines the technique of shocks with boxing and kicking with different types of martial arts, such as Thai boxing and karate, while prohibiting elbows and knees.

The K-1 rules are focused on entertainment, suggest a balanced evaluation of shocks with hands and feet and do not include struggle in the ground floor, as in MMA.
