Former boxer: “It’s time for Joshua to finish. What else does he have to prove?”

Matthew McLean, a former British boxer and now an expert and commentator, believes that Anthony Joshua should consider ending his career after his loss to Daniel Dubois due to the health risks.

“Joshua is 34 years old, he has an incredible career. He has achieved more than any boxer can dream of. What else does he have to prove? And he earned so much that his great-grandchildren will live well. It’s time for him to finish.”

“Boxing is not football, here you can’t go to another club, maybe a lower division, to play and have fun. Boxing is a brutal sport, and here you can be knocked out, causing damage to your health. But, of course, ending a career is a difficult decision. Concussions and other serious injuries need to be evaluated,” McLean said.

Joshua himself, after the fight with DuBois, made it clear that he has no intention of ending his career and wants to become champion again.
