For two – 83 years. Ex-rivals of the Klitschko brothers will fight for the title

On December 7, Sofia (Bulgaria) will host a heavyweight fight for the regular WBA belt between Manuel Charr (34-4, 20 KO) and Kubrat Pulev (30-3, 14 KOs). The boxers will hold the title fight at a solid age: Charr is 40 years old, Pulev is 43 years old. Interestingly, Manuel won the belt back in 2017 and will make his first title defense in seven years.

The publication Boxing247 criticized the upcoming meeting due to the lack of sports principle and logic:

“An illegal show, not a title fight. It definitely does not deserve your attention. This fight makes a mockery of all sports principles. Boxers have a solid age, so they have few fights. DAZN is going to broadcast it live,” the publication reported.

Both boxers may be known to Ukrainian fans. Charr met Vitali Klitschko in September 2012 – lost by knockout in the fourth round. Pulev fought Wladimir Klitschko in 2014 and was knocked out in the fifth round.
