Promoter Eddie Hearn did not rule out that Anthony Joshua could return to the ring this year, holding a match on the undercard of one of the big fights.
It is interesting that Joshua has not fought on the undercard since 2015, because he is usually the headliner of a boxing night.
“It’s 50-50 that Joshua can come back this year with a fight in between. If he holds a fight in the undercard, it will give an opportunity to calmly return to the rhythm of fights. It will be useful for his career.”
“We have boxing nights on December 13 and 27. Anthony is working in the gym, he’s ready,” Hearn said.
Joshua’s last fight at this point was more than a year ago, losing to Daniel DuBois.
