Super heavyweight Fabio Wordley is surprised that Oleksandr Usyk refused the WBO title and did not want to defend the belt in a fight with the British.
Wardley was promoted to champion status.
“I don’t understand why Usyk refused the title and the fight with me. I don’t know what he plans next – ending his career or fighting another opponent. It’s strange, because first he asked for a break to recover and then fight the mandatory contender.”
“And now he gave up the belt – it’s surprising. Not sure what he’s thinking,” Wordley said.
Usyk did not comment on his decision to make the title vacant, but thanked the WBO for being the champion of this organization.
