In the ring, representatives of overweight (more than 90.7 kg) from Ukraine met – Andriy Rudenko (36–7, 22 ko) and Alexei Timchenko (3–5–1, 2 KO).
Boxers started a fight with intelligence and did not force events – Timchenko looked more active, who quickly occupied the center of the ring. Rudenko successfully defended himself on the block and periodically knitted the opponent in clinch. Andrew tried to use combined blows to both the head and the body.
It is worth noting that Rudenko returned to the professional ring after a long break. After the victory in October 2023 over the compatriot Semen Pakhomov, the boxer took a pause.
Closer to the middle of the battle, Andrew gradually removed the initiative into his hands, successfully attacking the opponent from long distance. However, both boxers have increased the number of clinics due to fatigue. According to the results of eight rounds, the judges recorded a unanimous victory of the experienced Andrei Rudenko.
