Croker tore victory in Belfasta and won the vacant title of World Champion

On the night of September 14, the evening of Boxing was held in Windsor Park in Belfasta (Northern Ireland), the main event of which was the battle for the vacant title of World Champion.

In the ring, representatives of the middle weight (up to 66.7 kg) came together – Lewis Crocker (21-0, 11 KO) from Northern Ireland and Irishman Paddy is donovan (14-1, 11 KO). The boxers were revenge because the first match between them ended with scandalous disqualification.

The rivals began the fight with intelligence, fenched the jabs at a long distance and was in no hurry to force events. Everything changed in the third round, when Donovan did not miss the left hook and ended up in a knockdown. Referee opened the score, the representative of Northern Ireland was able to get on his feet.

Peddy tried to raise the pace of battle, constantly pressed the opponent, threw many blows, but in response flew even more. Again knockdown! In the fifth 3-minute, Donovan missed another hook towards and found himself in Kanwas. He rose, but was far from best.

In the second half of the battle, Donovan gradually took the initiative – connected the side and jab, moving well on his feet, tissue the opponent to the ropes. The Croker began to act too passively, perhaps he realized that he was leading on judicial notes thanks to two knockdown.

According to the results of the twelve rounds, the opinions of the judges were divided – 115-111 Donova, 114–113 and 114–112 Crockers, which became the new world -median IBF world champion.
