Former champion of Great Britain Julius Francis remembered the fight against Vitaliy Klitschko.
“When I was supposed to fight Vitaliy Klitschko, I didn’t even know who he was. I didn’t care – I just wanted to get in the ring. The manager would come, name the date and place of the fight, and I would just prepare. Actually, that’s how my entire career has gone.
I left the dressing room then and had no idea who was in front of me. This was not the guy I saw on the poster. I was convinced that I would fight with Volodymyr, but it turned out to be Vitaly. It has a very powerful punch. Klitschko is a real puncher, just like Lewis or Frank Bruno,” said Julius Francis.
In 1998, Vitaliy Klitschko knocked Francis out in the second round.
