Former world champion Mairis Briedis reacted to Tyson Fury’s decision to end his career.
“I think Tyson made this decision early. He had a very colorful career. He beat Klitschko and then he was depressed, suicidal and using drugs. He needs to work on his psyche. I think if Fury fights Joshua, then all the tickets will be sold on the same day.
I think Tyson will be back. I give 3 to 1 odds that we’ll see him again,” Briedis said.
Earlier, Tyson Fury announced his retirement. Fury has previously retired several times, most recently in August 2022. After that, the boxer returned and fought four fights: he defended the WBC championship belt twice, after which he lost twice more to Oleksandr Usyk.
