The International Boxing Federation (IBF) has announced promotional bidding in the heavyweight division to determine the next opponent for the absolute world champion Oleksandr Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs).

Briton Daniel Dubois (22–3, 21 KO) and a Cuban Frank Sanchez (25–1, 18 KOs) were unable to agree on a match by the October 22 deadline. For this reason, on November 13, there will be an auction, where the amount of fees for both boxers will be determined.

The fight between DuBois and Sanchez is expected to take place in the first half of 2026, after which the winner of the confrontation will receive the status of a mandatory contender on the IBF line. If Usyk refuses to defend, he will be obliged to leave his title vacant.

The last time the British boxer entered the ring was against Usyk in July, but he surrendered in the fifth round and lost the IBF belt. Sanchez knocked out the Mexican Ramon Echeverria in February.

DuBois set his sights on a world heavyweight title. There are two options
