Legendary promoter Bob Arum is convinced that Floyd Mayweather did not deserve to win the first fight against Jose Luis Castillo. According to him, the referee’s decision in the 2002 fight was frankly unfair and did not correspond to the course of events in the ring.
“Look at Harold Lederman’s commentary on HBO – he counted it 116-111 in favor of Castillo. Look at the hitting stats. And after that, the judges not only gave the fight to Floyd unanimously, but pretended that it was not a competitive fight at all.
