Benn is a winner. Eubank could not cope with the opponent and lost without a chance

The end of the history of family conflicts?”, — write: sport.ua

On November 15, in London, Great Britain, at the Tottenham Arena, the second confrontation took place between the British Chris Eubank Jr. (35-4, 25 KO) and Conor Benn (24-1, 14 KO). The second part of the fight, which started back in the spring. Then Eubank Jr. became the winner by the decision of the judges. This time, Benn hoped to work on the mistakes and still win.

Eubank and Benn analyzed the opponent. And it turned out much better for Conor!

Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn in the first confrontation did not produce the most boxing encounter. There was not as much of the purely technical or tactical part as it could have been. All because the guys hoped to cause each other as much damage as possible.

At the same time, many fans called this fight the “Fight of the Year”. And what is most interesting, they still haven’t changed their position, despite a sufficient number of good confrontations.

There was also something to praise the boys for. During the entire promo of the match, they promised to do a lot to each other. Boxers were really burning with the desire to harm the opponent. Eubank Jr. hit Benn in the face with a raw chicken egg, responding that Conor was busted for doping allegedly because of the eggs he consumed. Conor was seething with anger, and only the bodyguards kept them from fighting.

However, the first fight is another story. Before the second, everyone had to do an analysis, because both left the ring badly beaten.

Chris Eubank Jr. invited Brian McIntyre, who trains Terence Crawford, to the camp. This is their second collaboration: the first time, Bryan also prepared an opponent for a rematch, but then the opponent was Liam Smith. Eubank won the second confrontation, although in the first Smith knocked him out before the halfway point of the meeting.

Benn saw that the opponent was not going to fall from the first hits, as he had planned. Then I was going to go the whole distance and box against the opponent, not fight. The first meeting did not demonstrate that Conor can overbox the opponent. However, he really lacked a cool head so as not to let too many things pass and finish where he could.

Conclusions from mistakes were actually made, but the work was done differently. On the one hand, Chris Eubank, instead of frequent exchanges, as in the first confrontation, resorted to counterattacks. It makes sense against an attacking opponent, right?

On the other hand, the aggressive aggressor actually resorted to aggression: Conor Benn pressed, went forward, attacked a lot. However, it is calmer and more logical – giving yourself time to rest and looking for chances, and not just fighting.

It was Conor Benn who looked better in such a duel. Better, more skillful. The plan worked for the younger Briton.

Benn won the jab fight against his opponent. Which was very surprising, considering the length of the opponent’s arms. Conor accurately processed the opponent at short and medium distances. And it was not much worse at long range.

It’s impossible to give Chris many rounds. Maybe one. Maybe two. In all others, Conor was simply better.

Benn realized a simple thing: Eubank can’t keep up with short spurts. Chris was quite accurate in exchanges, not bad looking for opportunities to attack from distance when there is time. However, when it is necessary to orient oneself in the moment and respond, he does not have time. Even after the opponent, who is younger by 7 years.

Conor wasn’t doing anything out of the ordinary. However, his approach was fast, combinations came out faster than the opponent could react, and it was difficult to catch up. At least to Chris.

A knockdown at the end of the confrontation was simply a logical point of the meeting. When Benn again jumped on the opponent and hit, and he could not withstand the blow.

The unanimous decision of the judges in favor of Conor Benn is logical and correct. Chris Eubank did absolutely nothing to win.

Nobody wants a trilogy. Both Conor Benn and Chris Eubank have stated that there will be no third showdown. They simply do not see the meaning and motivation in this.

Chris is having a hard time losing weight. He has been trying all year to make the middleweight limit, which he has outgrown a long time ago. Especially, at 36 years old. Maybe that’s why it was so difficult for him – after all, weight is leveled on endurance, on the ability to hold a blow.

Benn – on the contrary – needs lower. Now is the perfect time to make money. But already with other people. The first opponent named by Conor is Ryan Garcia. The American is such that he will agree to such a meeting. Not the most convenient for him.

Overall though, Conor wants the championship belt. That’s why he calls the same Rolando Romero to have a chance to win the title.

He dropped out of this belt story altogether. At first he had problems with doping. After that, he spent a long time in the USA, where he had no title chances. But I was waiting for these fights with Yubenko. Now the story is over, there is victory. It is worth leaving the confrontation, until some other conditions have been invented, due to which the possibility of defeat increases.

It is for the better. Fans love fresh fights. And besides, they will definitely come to look at these two outside of duels against the main rival in their careers.
