Oleksandr Usyk’s manager Aegis Klimas commented on the information regarding the cooperation of the Ukrainian champion with Turki Al-Sheikh. According to him, Usyk did not stop cooperation with the Saudi side, but the next fight will be held in the USA under the auspices of another promoter.
“It was never said or even mentioned that Usyk quits or refuses. It was only about the fact that we are negotiating with the promoter. When asked if it was Saudi Arabia, the answer this season was no – it was America,” Klimas explained.
Previously, the WBC, WBA and IBF heavyweight title holder (over 90.7 kg) Oleksandr Usyk (24–0, 15 KOs) talked about his plans and admitted when he intends to end his professional career. The boxer recently made the WBO title vacant and lost the status of absolute world champion.
