“Rico Verhoeven agreed to fight Alexander”, — write: sport.ua
Dutch kickboxer Rico Verhoeven commented on Turki Al-Sheikh’s idea to see his potential fight against world boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk. The owner of the multi-year title Glory reacted positively to such an offer and proposed an unusual format of the match.
“This is the challenge I’ve been waiting for. The Absolute against the Absolute. One round of boxing, one round of kickboxing. Let’s see if we can make it to the 12th,” said Verhoeven.
Rico has a record of 66–10 in kickboxing and has also had one fight each in professional boxing and MMA. The Dutchman held the Glory championship for 12 years and has topped the heavyweight rankings since 2014.
