The Glovo delivery service has officially acknowledged the existence of a technical error, due to which users’ accounts were incorrectly charged large amounts as “tips” for couriers in various countries, in particular Ukraine.

The incident gained publicity on February 11, 2026, after numerous customer complaints on social networks about the unauthorized withdrawal of thousands of hryvnias per order. The company assured that the problem has already been fixed, and all overcharged funds will be automatically returned to the owners’ bank cards in full in the near future.
The technical failure affected not only the Ukrainian market, but also the international divisions of the platform, which caused a temporary overload of the support service. Glovo representatives apologized for the inconvenience and emphasized that the incorrect amounts were not the result of the couriers’ activities, but were the result of a software error in the calculations of the tip system. Users are advised to check statements for recent transactions and, in the event of no return within a few days, contact the card-issuing bank to clarify the status of the transaction.
Previously, users of social networks began to complain that Glovo debited 5, 7, and even 13 thousand hryvnias from their cards, allegedly as “tips” for the courier.
