Customers of popular delivery services report a large-scale technical failure, due to which instead of the planned 50-100 hryvnias tips for couriers, sums of several thousand hryvnias disappear from their bank accounts.

Real Kyiv writes about it.

Victims claim that attempts to resolve issues through the companies’ technical support remain fruitless, as the operators do not get in touch for a long time. At the same time, banking institutions refuse to immediately cancel transactions, citing the fact that the transactions were confirmed by users in the application interface.

The situation has gained publicity in social networks, where defrauded customers are calling for a temporary abandonment of cashless tips or setting strict limits on online payments. While the delivery services have not officially commented on the incident, lawyers advise recording all screenshots of orders and contacting banks with written applications for the chargeback procedure. Since such vulnerabilities can be used by hackers or indicate critical errors in software updates, cyber security experts do not rule out the intervention of attackers from the Russian Federation, who often attack Ukrainian digital infrastructure.

We will remind you that fraudsters spoof personal bank data of citizens, enticing them to receive a monetary payment from the state “Student’s Package” in the amount of 5 thousand hryvnias.

IN A new fraud scheme has appeared in Ukraine, according to which fraudsters impersonate law enforcement officers and accuse victims of treason.

We have also already reported that the DPS has exposed fraudsters who send out fake e-mails with a virus.
