39-year-old Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk wants to prove that even at this age it is possible to regularly enter the ring and achieve great victories.
“They tell me not to fight anymore, not to enter the ring. Like, you’re already too old, and nature and age, the toughest opponent, you won’t win.”
“My challenge is to prove them wrong and age can be defeated,” Usyk said in an interview with The Ring magazine.
So far, there is no information on who will be Usyk’s first opponent in 2026. The fight with Deontay Wilder broke down and will not take place yet.
