– Oleksandr Oleksandrovych, in yesterday’s sparring match between Shakhtar and LNZ, passions boiled over, as if it was an official match. What is it connected with?
– Usually, similar situations occur at the end of the training session, when the football players have accumulated a certain physical and psychological fatigue. Such emotions do not decorate even sparring. I would like to see more football, not football-related clashes.
– LNZ again, as in the championship, beat Shakhtar. Will this help Vitaliy Ponomarev’s team in the future in terms of morale?
– Every match in which a positive result is achieved gives the team confidence. And in the meeting with “Shakhtar” he was ready. At the finish line of the training period, this is very important. The 5–3–2 scheme of the game, which LNZ had, was practiced in a game against a strong opponent, and it worked for the Cherkasy team.
– In eight sparring matches, LNZ only drew once, all other matches were won. Is the team close to peak potential?
– I think that the vertical and aggressive football that Vitaliy Ponomarev’s wards have been showing and showing in the first part of the season has not changed. Yes, it will be more difficult for them in the spring, as the opponents will already treat the leader differently, but the fact that LNZ demonstrates an organized game in defense and rushes out into quick and sharp counterattacks shows that the opponents will not just take points away from this team.
LNZ Shakhtar – LNZ – What do you say about “Shakhtar”, which, as a favorite, did not impress, as it seemed?
– In my opinion, “miners” are in worse conditions than their main competitor in the fight for first place. They still lack game tone. It is more and more difficult for “Shakhtar” to reveal such a rich, but above all, competent defense of the opponent. And this can become a problem not only in the match with LNZ, but also with other opponents. Moreover, it should not be forgotten that the people of Donetsk have many legionnaires, and it remains to be seen in what weather conditions the first spring UPL matches will have to be held. If Arda Turan’s wards continue to play such academic football, it can turn into big problems for the team.
– “Polissya” looks convincing in Spain. Will Ruslan Rotan’s team be stronger in the spring?
– Should be stronger. More than once I watched sparring matches with the participation of Zhytomyrians. In Polissia, from match to match, they systematically worked on the construction of the game, they did not deviate from their style. And point strengthening in the team was aimed at the picture that Ruslan Rotan had in the silver season in “Alexandria”. Now the work of his wards with the ball can be seen more clearly.
– Will “Dynamo” be able to surprise with something, taking into account that the last three sparring matches of the Kyiv team will be held behind closed doors, without video broadcasts of the matches?
– Now it is not so difficult to get information about the opponent. But the club’s decision not to show the games does not benefit Dynamo in relations with a large army of Dynamo fans. In those matches that were broadcast, I did not see any surprises in the game of “white and blue” and I probably do not expect them in the future. Although he said back in the fall that the team would gain. At the moment, the bet is placed on youth, which is characterized by instability. From the sparring matches, it is clear that “Dynamo” is not afraid. It will be extremely difficult for Kyiv to fight for the top three. In the period of reconstruction, bronze will be an excellent result for them. But in general, it is, of course, a failure.
Forested – After the end of the autumn part of the championship, you predicted the following final three winners: “Shakhtar”, “LNZ”, “Dynamo”. Are you changing your mind now?
– Undoubtedly, Ihor Kostyuk’s wards are becoming more active, but the competitors are not sleeping either. If “Polissya” with the arrival of new football players has time to play, then I give them the third place. Zhytomyr residents, by and large, now have two equal composition. There are problems with the injury of the Giant, who would add creativity, but there will be someone to replace him.
As for the fight for the championship, experience is on Shakhtar’s side. LNZ will be the second, which will also be a historic achievement for the team.
– “Kryvbas”, “Kolos”, “Metalist 1925” and “Zorya” are practically on par with “Dynamo”. Which of these teams can surprise?
– We see that “Kryvbas” lost or sold, you can say, as you like, leaders. However, they have the margin to stay in the top six. Everyone expects a breakthrough from “Metalist 1925”, although the team is satisfied with only seventh place so far. They are strengthened by legionnaires, perhaps this will help the people of Kharkiv to enter the fight for the top five teams of the Ukrainian Premier League at the end of the season.
Among the openings of the season, one of the teams I called “Colossus” given their resources. With the arrival of Ruslan Kostyshin, due to competent actions in defense and counter-attacking game, the team can surprise. As for “Zorya”, something constantly prevents Luhansk residents from realizing their full potential. The team’s results are not stable. I don’t think that anything will change in this regard in the second part of the championship.
