The artist says that she does not understand how to measure being “in context”.

According to the correspondent of UNIAN, she announced this at a meeting with supporters in one of the bookstores in Kyiv. According to the singer, during the announcement of the results, she got upset when she heard that Yana Shemayeva got fewer points than her:
“And when I heard how many points she got… At that moment, my perception just turned off. And I no longer took in the information… The first day after that, there was a feeling of internal rejection of all this.”
Victoria noted that only today she began to “return to reality” and realize that she is the one who will go to Austria from Ukraine. At the same time, the girl admits that she feels not only joy, but also the pressure of responsibility for this. When asked how much she is “in the context” of events in Ukraine, since she has been living in Berlin since 2014, the girl replied that she does not understand how to measure it.
“I don’t know. It’s just important to me that Ukraine is preserved. I can’t imagine my life without Ukraine. Because if it disappears, then, as some soldiers write, and I absolutely agree with them, it will be: “and we will fly around the world, in emigrations, and we will sing friendly Ukrainian songs.” Without the status of statehood for Ukraine – who will I be? It is simply important for my soul to do it in Ukrainian and strengthen the cultural image of Ukraine itself. And if it is not will be, I will create in some incomprehensible language of a non-existent country. And it all loses its meaning,” said the singer.
She also suggested that being “in context” can be measured by her volunteer activities and the way she behaves at concerts and positions herself in public life:
“It seems to me that I cannot evaluate this, because I am inside myself, and not from the outside. And I do not have an understanding to what extent anyone in Ukraine is “in context”… I do not know.”
We will remind you that a scandal broke out around this year’s National Selection, because the singer Ruslana, who was a member of the jury, openly called on the audience to vote for Victoria Leleka. Despite the fact that this caused outrage in social networks, the organizers said that they did not see any violations in Ruslana’s statements.
