President of the Ukrainian Football Association Andriy Shevchenko spoke about the future head coach of the national team of Ukraine, Serhiy Rebrov. The comment was made during a press conference at the House of Football, where the results of the second year of the renewed UAF team were summed up.

“We are not considering Serhiy Stanislavovich’s replacement now, so he can safely work. His contract is valid until the end of the 2026 World Cup,” Shevchenko said.

Serhii Rebrov will lead the national team of Ukraine from 2023. In the selection for the 2026 World Cup, the blue-yellow team took second place in their group and will play in the playoffs for a ticket to the World Cup in March. In the semi-finals, the Ukrainians will meet with Sweden, and in case of victory, they will play in the final with the winner of the Poland-Albania pair.
