In the opening match of the 21st round of the Bundesliga, Union Berlin drew 1:1 against Eintracht Frankfurt. The match was remembered for intense struggle and productive moments in the final minutes of the meeting at the stadium in Berlin.

Eintracht opened the scoring in the 84th minute when Nathaniel Brown converted the moment after a pass from the wing, firing a left-footed shot into the top corner of the net.

Frankfurt looked like they were going to pull out the win, but in the 87th minute Union were awarded a penalty after a foul on defensive midfielder Oskar Hoylunn, who was sent off a few minutes later. Leopold Kerfeld coolly executed a kick from 11 meters and set the final score 1:1.
