“The enemy is striking with artillery on the territory of the Naftogaz Group’s Kherson thermal power station throughout the day. At least five hits were recorded,” Koretsky wrote. This is the fourth attack on the CHP plant since the beginning of February. Due to constant shelling, the work of the station is complicated, but Naftogaz specialists are coordinating actions with the local authorities and working out all possible options for providing heat to the residents of Kherson.
Artillery strikes on critical infrastructure not only threaten the operation of the CHP, but can also affect the energy supply and comfort of people in the city during the cold season. Naftogaz emphasizes that the operation of the plant and the safety of personnel remain a priority, and all measures are carried out taking into account the emergency situation.
“We are doing everything to minimize the consequences of shelling and provide the city with heat. The operation of the station is under constant control, and backup power options are being worked out,” Koretsky noted. The Naftogaz Group calls on residents to remain calm and follow official notifications regarding the situation at the CHP.
