As the press service of the Ministry of Defense reported, the issue of further defense support was discussed during the meeting of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov with the Minister of National Defense of Canada David McGinty.
It is noted that the parties also discussed an agreement to promote the production of drones. Significant prospects for industrial cooperation between the Ukrainian and Canadian governments and companies were noted. In particular, Ukraine is interested in cooperation with Canadian companies in the field of drone management.
“Another important area of cooperation remains the training of Ukrainian military personnel with a focus on saving lives. The parties discussed the transformation of the training system, in particular, the transition to a model in which the best specialists train others, and the training centers are gradually moved underground to increase security,” the message says.
Missiles for Ukraine – more newsAs UNIAN reported, the USA conducted combat tests of the promising Rusty Dagger cruise missile, which is being developed for Ukraine within the framework of the ERAM program. The missile was equipped with a real warhead and hit the target with high accuracy.
The testing provided “critical data for the development of a new, cost-effective and long-range strike system,” which is being built on an accelerated schedule.
