Details: The new development is the world’s first compact power source for high-powered microwave weapons. The device is capable of generating 20 gigawatts of power for one minute.

The dimensions of the installation are only four meters in length, and the weight is five tons. This allows it to be installed on trucks, warships, planes or even put into orbit.
Chinese experts say that ground-based microwave weapons with a power of more than 1 GW are capable of seriously disrupting or even damaging Starlink satellites.
The publication notes that the analogues known so far were much more bulky and could work continuously for no more than three seconds. As an example, the Russian system “Sinus-7” is given, which weighs about 10 tons and works only for about a second, while generating about 100 pulses. Instead, the Chinese development is capable of delivering up to 3,000 high-energy pulses in one session.
China has repeatedly said that Starlink poses a threat to its national security, so Chinese military researchers are developing “Starlink killers”, including lasers and microwave systems.
