It is reported in social networks that the Belhorod thermal power plant and the Frunzenska electric substation in the area of the village of Striletske came under fire.
The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said that as a result of the night rocket attack, “serious damage” was recorded at energy facilities, which led to a blackout of electricity, water supply and heating in the regional center.
“I went to the place. In 35 minutes, we will hold a meeting. We will understand in detail the scope of the destruction and will make decisions about the further sequence of actions,” Gladkov said.
Due to the blackout of the water supply facilities in Belgorod and Borysovsk District, water supply has stopped. Also, heating began to disappear in residential buildings.
“Belgorodenergo” and “Rossety” stated about “numerous damages to electrical equipment” and that “the time of restoration work has been increased.”
