As of the evening of February 5, the energy situation remains difficult due to the consequences of massive missile and drone attacks, which Russia continues to carry out against Ukrainian generation and transmission networks. An official statement from the company confirms that the power shortage in the system is significant, so the restrictions will apply to both domestic consumers and industry, for which the capacity restriction schedules are provided.
Energy experts emphasize that the exact amounts of outages and specific hours for each address are determined by regional regional energy authorities depending on the limits proven for each region. During the day of February 5, there was a strengthening of restrictions in some regions (in particular, an increase in volume by 0.5–1 turn), which indicates the variability of the situation and the dependence of schedules on the current level of consumption. “Ukrenergo” also refuted the fakes about a complete blackout spread in the network, stressing that despite the terror from the Russian Federation, the situation in the power system remains fully under control.
