Details: As the head of the Spanish government noted, criticism from the owners of technology companies is a sign that the decision to ban social networks under the age of 16 is the right one.

Before that, the Russian businessman and founder of Telegram Pavel Durov published a message in his messenger, in which he called Spain’s decision a precedent “for tracking the identity of each user.” Durov also claims that the innovation will be a tool to suppress the opposition.

“Stay vigilant, Spain. Demand transparency and fight for your rights,” the businessman wrote.

Spanish Transport Minister Oscar Puente also responded to Durov’s criticism.

“Today is a good day to remove Telegram from my phone. It was never very useful for me. So the loss is small, if not zero,” the minister wrote on his X account.

Puente ended his message with the Russian word “for now”, referring to the founder of Telegram.
