The management of the club does not have a clear understanding when the 32-year-old player will be able to return to full training and competitions. Monaco CEO Thiago Scuro told RMC Sport:
“There is still no clear answer to the question of when Paul Pogba will be able to return to training. All the specialists in the medical department are focused on finding solutions. We still have to develop a process to clarify the situation.
As with any injury, the first stage is getting back on the pitch, followed by gradual progress in training to regain the fitness needed to play.”
Pogba injured his left calf in mid-December and has not resumed training since then. Since arriving at Monaco, he has played just 30 minutes in three Ligue 1 matches: against Rennes (1:4), against PSG (1:0) and against Brest (0:1).
As reported RMC Sport, Paul Pogba was left out of Monaco’s Champions League squad due to injury, along with the injured Mohamed Salis and Takumi Minamino. Instead, Crippen Diatta, Vout Fas and Simon Adingra were included in the squad.
