It is known who Oliynikova will play with in the quarterfinals of the tournament in Cluj-Napoca

Ukrainian tennis player Oleksandr Oliinikov (WTA 91) received an opponent in the quarterfinals of the WTA 250 tournament in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

In the third round, the Ukrainian will fight against the fourth seed Wang Xinyu (China, WTA 33), who defeated Rebecca Masarova (Switzerland, WTA 114) in her second round match.

Wang Xinyu beat Masarova 6:4, 6:2 in 1 hour and 20 minutes. In addition to Rebecca, the Chinese woman in Cluj also passed Kaitlin Quevedo (Spain, WTA 134).

Wang Xinyu will hold the 15th quarterfinal in his career and fight for the 11th semifinal. In 2026, she has already played twice against Ukrainian women: a loss to Elina Svitolina in the final of the WTA 250 competition in Auckland and a victory over Angelina Kalinina in the first round of the Australian Open.

Oliynikova had never played against Wang Xinyu before. Their meeting will take place on February 5.
