“We repelled a series of cyberattacks on the offices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, starting in Washington, as well as on some facilities of the Winter Olympic Games, including hotels in Cortina,” Tajani emphasized.

He emphasized that these actions were organized by Russia.

As a reminder, the Winter Olympic Games will be held from February 6 to 22, 2026 in the Italian cities of Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.

It is worth emphasizing that Italian President Sergio Mattarella called for cessation of hostilities for the time of the 2026 Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina.

Back in October of last year, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy called for a truce in all wars during the Winter Olympic Games.
